RI: Who is Laurette???!!

From: moghedian2000 (moghedian2000@cox.net) | Date: 2002-12-04 19:38:30 UTC
Today we found 3 letterboxes, Grass Pond, Fishing Hole and
Bobbin Bobber. At the Bobbin Bobber letterbox, we found an extra
stamp in the box. It looked like the previous person had stamped in
(Laurette?) and then left their stamp in the box? No mention of a
hitch-hiker, no extra pad with the stamp either. No date on the find
by Laurette. We decided to take the stamp in case the box went
missing or whatever. If someone knows a Laurette or anything about
this stamp, could they please let us know? If it is a personal stamp
we would be happy to mail it back or work out something else. Has
this happened to anyone else before? Haven't seen this stamp in our
other previous box finds. Thanks for any help!!

Hi Moghedian,

Laurette is a letterboxer who lives in Southern Rhode Island. She
has quite a few boxes out in the area. She does read the posting
here so she may see this message. I have her email address so I will
email her & tell her that you found this stamp. She & I were
planning to go out letterboxing on Saturday so I know I will be
talking to her before then.

I will have her post back to you here on the talk group to let you
know if it is her stamp.

Gee,
My name in the subject line, forever in the archives.
Yes that is my stamp.  Thanks for finding it and thanks for the publicity.
Is this my 15 minutes of fame?
